Why Picknar Exists

Picknar is built around one idea: saving a YouTube thumbnail should take seconds, not sign-ups.

Many thumbnail tools stop at a small preview or add extra steps before you can download. Picknar goes straight to YouTube's image servers, shows every size available and lets you download the best one or copy its direct link.

It works for regular videos and Shorts, supports bulk downloads and keeps the interface clean, so you can grab the file and get back to work.

What You Can Do With Picknar

One tool, every thumbnail size YouTube has stored.

4K When Available

Picknar requests the 1920x1080 MaxRes file first and falls back automatically when YouTube has not stored one.

Every Size, Previewed

See eight previews, from MaxRes down to the video's start, middle and end frames, before you download anything.

Bulk Downloads

Paste up to 15 links and download every thumbnail at once as a single ZIP file.

JPG, PNG or WEBP

Choose your format and Picknar converts the image right in your browser.

Shorts Support

Paste a youtube.com/shorts/ link and it works the same way as a regular video.

Direct CDN Link

Copy the thumbnail's direct image URL to paste into Notion, Slack, Canva or a blog post.

What We Stand For

Three principles shape every decision on Picknar.

Fast

One paste, instant previews and a layout that stays out of your way.

Private by Design

No account is needed. Your recent history stays in your browser session, not on a Picknar account.

Honest About Limits

4K only exists when the creator uploaded a custom thumbnail at that size. Picknar shows what YouTube has and gives you the best one.
